I am excited to offer my art in yet another format: DECALS!  I am able to offer these thanks to *tekuryuu 's excellent decal crafting skills.  He can create just about any size of decal and has a huge selection of vinyl with different colors and finishes so you can easily customize the design to fit what you need.  :)

I have a few decals from him and I just love them.  The blue holographic is particularly stunning.

To place an order, please send me a DevART note with the following information.  Once you've provided the required information, I will send it over to *tekuryuu and he will be able to get back to you with exact pricing.

HOW TO ORDER A DECAL:

:bulletgreen: 1. Let me know which design you'd like.

There is a selection of six premade designs below that you may choose from.  If you'd like something different than what is available and would like to place an order for a custom design to have made into a decal, please let me know and we can work on that.  Also, if you have ordered B&W art from me in the past, you may order a decal(s) of the design(s) you purchased.

:bulletgreen: 2. Let me know how tall/wide you need the design to be.  Larger decals cost more money as do ones made from non-standard material.  A decal that does not exceed 12x12 inches would be right around $15.

Accepted forms of payment are Paypal, checks, Money Orders, and cash (only at your own risk).

Priority mail shipping with tracking within the US is $5 (large sized decals may end up costing more to ship).  The price of shipping for international orders is TBD.

:bulletgreen: 3. Specify the color of vinyl you'd like your decal to be made from.  Anything from the Standard Colors list would be around $15 as long as it does not exceed 12x12 inches in size.

Standard Colors

Up to 24 inches:

Black
White
Red
Orange Red
Daffodil Yellow
Light Cream

Special Colors:

Holographic Red
Holographic Blue
Holographic Silver
Holographic Purple

Etched Glass (silvery translucent)

Magnetic White (to be used as a backing to your decal)

Up to 12 inches:

Reflective Maroon

Or if you need the decal presented on a banner, there are banners 24 or 48 inches tall by a variety of lengths available.  Top and bottom edges hemmed with grommets.  White only.

Please inquire if there is a desired color of vinyl that is not listed here.

:bulletgreen: 4. The final information needed is your name and shipping address.

And that about sums it up.  Just note me with the design(s) you'd like made into a decal, what size you'd like your decal to be, your preferred color/finish of vinyl, and your name and shipping address and *tekuryuu will be able to get back to you with exact pricing.  Once payment is received, he will start work on your order and get your art shipped out to you.

Let me know if you have any questions!

I woulds love your tiger for my car would you mind if i got a huge one made in mirror images one on either side of my car and then paint over the decal remove it and have your design in the paint of my car?

I can also make you a 'paint mask' style... which is basically the reverse of the decal. So when you pull the mask off, the painted area would be the same as the decal. However, in this case, I would think that just ordering the decal in the color you want would be less expensive, cleaner, sharper, and ultimately removable should you ever decide to sell the car. Note all of my standard colors are minimum 5-year color, and they stand up to car washes and all weather conditions.

I had some issues with other decals i bought for my car it kinda sucked but i didn't even get a year out of them. And no plans to sell this little car any time soon and i want it to be pretty perminant. I like the panda better but i think that the tiger would work better on a car it is something i am considering though i will have to think long and hard about it.

aah, yeah... material quality is a huge debate among sign makers. I did actually do these graphics and signs as a primary source of income for a while, (even had a 72" octachrome solvent printer for a while) so I have good quality machines (not the chinese junk), and I use only MINIMUM 5-year material. I also have some 7-year material in the mix too, but I don't remember which ones are which, so I just say 5 for all of them. There are some exceptions, like neons... Unfortunately there is no neon material available with a guarantee over 6 months... mostly because the UV properties of the material (that make it so bright) absorb sunlight and fade out MUCH faster than standard colors. However, if used indoors or in shaded areas, neons will last a long time (several years) as well.

There is also a huge difference between "cast" and "calendared" vinyls. One is made in a huge ball and rolled flat like pasta. The other is made in sheets from the start. They are both equally durable, but calendared is much less expensive, so most shops tend to use it over cast vinyl. Again, I have a mix of both, depending on the needs of the job. I do use calendared most of the time too, unless I know something has specific needs like flexibility or high-temp applications, etc.

To give you an idea of the material I use, I have had a selection of large decals in black, metallic graphite, metallic bronze, and silver, as well as several smaller decals from time to time, on my truck since March 2006, and they are all still in pristine condition even after 5 years of driving in Colorado snow and ice, and Florida sun and heat (and humidity!) I've been thru countless automatic and DIY car washes, as well as hand washes at home, and all sorts of weather from 120F direct sun at 9,000 ft elevation, to hail and 14 feet of snow, to -30F overnight (cracked my rear bumper skin). All the way up to January of this year, my truck has been out without a garage. The apartment complex I'm in now has covered parking (so nice!!). Most of the decals I have on my truck can be seen in photos in my gallery, as well as some other professional and entertaining works I've done for others.

Doing a paint mask doesn't cost any more than a regular decal tho, so that's always an option.

This is also somewhat part of the reason for the $15 price point... I could get it much lower, this is true... but then I'd be shipping junk material and well, I won't do that, especially when it's going on a car or store window where it is likely to be for years.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks for the compliment! I always try to be the best I can, and take time to explain things to folks who might not know. I love to teach, so I guess that helping others learn or understand things is natural for me.

Strictly as a rough estimate, for something suitable for the side of a 4-door sedan, you're probably looking at about $50 for one. I can do a set (mirror images) for $85 to save you some $$.

PS - paint mask is STRICTLY one-use only... It's not possible to reuse it a second time, and it only has adhesive on one side, so it wouldn't work as a mirror image anyway. ;)

*goin to bed now, won't have any more replies until tomorrow.
