"Journey of the Descending Night"

Got an inspiration rush while listening to Loreena McKennitt's Mummer's Dance. Done in watercolor with Prismacolor pencil for finishing touches.

i'm so jealous of your ability to draw wolves... how'd you learn to draw them so well?

anyway, the painting... I love it. I like that idea of the black wolf and red/brown wolf representing night and day. ^^

Mostly practice, but observation of my own dog and studying photographs and other people's artwork has all helped me to where I am today when it comes to drawing wolves.

Heh, a long, long time. I've been practicing drawing since I learned how to hold a pencil, but I only got really interested in drawing wolves maybe about four or five years ago, so about that long I guess.
