I hope you don't mind but i listed this pic as an example in Point System journal to show what they consider a simple background. I can remove it if you want but i kind of wanted more people to admire your work so thats one reason why i picked this one.
WOW! You are so talented! I wish I could draw like that, well I wish I can draw good at all! Alot of people say I draw good but I always feel like the body isn't alined or the body shape is wrong. I wish I can be good at one thing!
*Blinx* Wow... this is amazing, You draw realy well, I love your horses, horses are indeed a challange to draw, there muscular structure is so hard, Just curious where is it you learned your techniques to draw!
All self taught, save for a few art books. I never really liked art books because they were all so particular about the :way: you were supposed to draw the thing. I've actually been able to find a couple that suited my tastes and I've learned plenty from them. Most of my skill is perfected by looking at RL subjects or photos of them, then later when I get my pencil out the memories of what I picked up come forth. Using animal figurines as refs can be very helpful too, as they are 3-D. I also pick up anatomy lessons and tricks from other artists' work. And last but not least, I let the inner me come out in my drawings. Hope all this rambling has helped you a bit, and remember (yes, you've probly heard this before) persevere and practice, practice, practice. Good luck.
Thank you for the guidence, I shall work on my art peices more and more. Hopefully, I shall improve and hope to be in one of those. "i'm really good" catagories.. *Snickers* I appreciate the feed back, thanks!
